Isopods can be used in bioactive terrarium setups and act as a “clean up crew”, consuming the waste from animals in the terrarium & converting it to nutrients for your plants. These are the Powder Blue species of Isopods (Porcellionides pruinosus) which grow to approximately 3/8″-1/2″ in length. Isopods are often combined with Springtails in bioactive setups, which perform additional “clean up crew” duties.
